Mountain biking
Exhilarating downhills or a serious climb over the hills behind the bay — on two wheels you reach the green, quiet places no car can.
Horse riding
Cross rivers and mountain tracks, or take the beach-side ride at the water’s edge. Tommy guides every step — even confirmed non-riders come back grinning.
Stand-up paddle
Cabarete Bay is a five-minute walk. Paddle the flat morning water, or take the board out to the reef 200m offshore for a few gentle waves.
Snorkel & dive
A short hop to the clear bay at Sosúa, then a boat to a couple of reef spots — crystal water, colourful fish, and full dive certification if you want it.

No — nothing needs booking in advance. Tell your host what you fancy once you’re here and they arrange it around the surf, the wind and your energy that day.
They sit outside it. The water side — coaching, gear, transfers, meals — is all-inclusive; adventures off the water are paid locally as you go, so you only spend on what you actually choose to do.
Often, yes. Plenty of trips are half-day, so you can surf the glassy morning and ride horses in the afternoon, or take a whole day off entirely. The week bends around you.
It’s fully guided, with all the kit and a thorough briefing. You choose your run — the gentler Ciguapa Falls or the headline Magic Mushroom — and no prior experience is needed for either.
A handful of adventures depend on conditions or a minimum group. If one can’t run, your host simply suggests an alternative — there’s never a shortage of things to do on the north coast.
